Nature Guardians at Tewkesbury Nature Reserve

Two sessions for families this Half Term.

Wednesday April 1

family fire lighting activity with a campfire on Tewkesbury Nature Reserve. Learn about fire safety with this basic introduction to fire lighting for all the family. You'll have a chance to use a flint and steel to have a go at lighting your own mini fire, before contributing to a larger campfire and toasting marshmallows. Due to difficulties in sourcing alternatives, please bring along your own marshmallows if you need to cater for any specific dietary requirements.

Thursday April 9

A fun-filled event on Tewkesbury Nature Reserve as we explore the bird life of this wetland habitat. We'll spend some time looking out from our bird screens, listening out for bird song around the reserve and exploring which birds call Tewkesbury Nature Reserve home. It would be helpful for each family to have downloaded the free Merlin Bird ID app in advance of the event although this is not essential. If you have binoculars, please bring them along although we will have some to share at this event.
